Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. The early 90s saw Barone was a regular on Carol & Company as a co-star along with Carol Burnett. Barone was her ex-wife, Carol Willick Ross Geller on the show's first Friends appearance. Jane Sibbett replaced her after she resigned to start a full-time job. She was on The Jeff Foxworthy Show for the first season (1995-1996) and in The War at Home from 2005 until 2007. Barone costarred in Daddio (2000). Barone received her Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award in the year 2004 for her work on the film One Last Ride. She plays officer Georgia Jones who is the mother of CeCe Jones played by Bella Thorne. Matthew Glave played J.J. Jones, the former husband of Barone's character on two of the episodes.
