Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
